“It’s a privilege to work for a global company that continuously encourages me to strengthen my professional skill set.” Ginny Ryan, Safety, Health and Environment Manager

Wallingford, Conn. (Oct. 25, 2018) – Virginia (“Ginny”) Ryan of allnex-Wallingford, received this year’s Environmental Impact Award from the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce at the recent Women’s Achievement Awards  luncheon. The regional award recognizes women who exhibit excellence in business and community service while supporting other women in business.

“I am proud to accept this award on behalf of allnex and all women in business,” Ginny Ryan, Safety, Health and Environment Manager, said. “It’s a privilege to work for a global company that continuously encourages me to strengthen my professional skill set.”

Under Ryan’s leadership, allnex has also reduced its Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) emissions by 80% since 2013. For her efforts, she received, from allnex, a Special Recognition Award for Environmental Improvements.

Ginny was nominated by her manager, Frank DiCristina, Site Manager at Wallingford, who speaks highly of her accomplishments, which have resulted in high marks with many regulatory organizations.

“Ginny is an outstanding leader to her colleagues and allnex constituents,” DiCristina said. “Because of her professionalism and industry expertise, allnex has successfully complied with all federal, state, and local regulations, specifically with OSHA and EPA/CT DEEP.”

Nominees for the annual Women Achievement Award must be members of either the Quinnipiac or New Haven Chambers of Commerce, have demonstrated exceptional business or community leadership skills, and/or been an active participant in community organizations.
