An update on the measures taken by allnex regarding Covid-19

Mar 19, 2020 Corporate

FRANKFURT, Germany (March 19, 2020) – Please find below a message from our two Vice Presidents on the measures we are taking regarding Covid-19.

*************************

Dear valued customer,

As the Coronavirus outbreak continues to spread, we would like to share with you some of the measures we have implemented to safeguard our employees and business partners, as well as to ensure business continuity. We are confident that we can manage this situation as it develops through lessons learned over the past few months and integrate those into our action plan as the virus spreads across the globe.

  • allnex has secured raw materials supply in countries which could be or are impacted by the outbreak.
  • allnex increased production and stock wherever possible.
  • allnex has implemented business continuity plans to prepare its sites. This includes among other things: work procedures for different epidemic phases, local crisis teams with extended authority and social distancing at work and shift-rotating models.

Currently, allnex sites are fully operational in Asia and across Europe where we see the most impact today. The five allnex sites in China resumed operations on February 17th. allnex European sites are taking the necessary actions to maintain operations.

In the Americas, the impact of the virus is expanding especially in certain cities and states.  As a chemical manufacturing company, allnex has been designated by the US Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) as Essential Critical Infrastructure, and we are intent on staying open to meet our customers’ needs during this crisis.

Due to increased border control and governmental regulations, we see transportation delays. Oversea transport is becoming a topic of concern as well. We kindly ask you to group orders and place them well in advance to allow our planning teams to manage the available capacities.

We will regularly update you on the supply situation as need be. As conditions are changing rapidly, our Sales and Customer Service teams will keep you updated on the latest information.

Please remain assured that we are doing everything in our power to continue to serve you in these challenging conditions.

Stay safe!

With best regards,

Jean-Marc Durbuis, VP Performance Resins
Ruben Mannïen, VP Liquid Resins & Additives
