Alpharetta, GA, (May 16, 2019) - allnex, the leading supplier of specialty chemicals, offering a broad range of coating resins, additives and crosslinkers for use on wood, metal, plastic and other surfaces, is pleased to announce the launch of the CEAMLESS Program for local students (Chemical Education and Math, while Learning Technical, Engineering, Science and Safety Program).
Two one-week courses will be offered for different age groups with max participation at 40 students per week, due to OSHA regulations.
Both sessions will be one week long/8 hours per day, and offered at NO COST to the participants. Students will get educational classes about the chemical industry, business practices in general, a sense of production creation from the idea through to commercialization, hands-on experiments with our scientists, presentations from various departments about how they fit into the allnex chain, and at the end of the week will receive:
· 10 hour OSHA Certification
· Georgia Tech “Young Workers” Certification
· DOT Certification
· 8 Hour Hazwoper Certification (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response)
· CPR/First Aid Certification
In addition to being offered at no cost, breakfast, lunch and snacks/drinks will be provided.
CEAMLESS Session 1, for 13-18 year olds will focus on the above plus more ‘hands-on’ experiments in our labs. This program will be designed to give students a general idea of what we do, what jobs are available in the industry and how the process of product creation works.
CEAMLESS Session 2, for 18-25+ year olds and will include additional training on job searching, using social media to find a job and resume building. A special session including our Human Resources department will be included, giving students a great opportunity to find out more about the hiring process.
