Brussels, Belgium, (November 27, 2019) - allnex, a leading supplier of specialty chemicals, offering a broad range of coating resins, additives and crosslinkers for use on wood, metal, plastic and other surfaces, announces its membership with Circle Economy. Circle Economy is a social enterprise, organized as a cooperative, that accelerates the transition to circularity through on-the-ground, action-focused, development of practical and scalable solutions.

At allnex, Sustainability is a commitment to our stakeholders and a key part of our continued success. We embrace this responsibility and stay focused and dedicated to pursuing a greener and more sustainable future together with our customers and suppliers, as every single one of us has a tremendous responsibility to protect the planet in which we all live. A dedication to Circular Economy is one of our five Sustainability pillars, and an ambition on doing business for our company going forward. Circular Economy is the perfect model to reconcile the Environmental and Profit pillars of Sustainability through product and process innovation – both of which are essential to the allnex identity.

By becoming a member of Circle Economy, allnex will have access to other business and industries that are also working to realize the dream of a Circular Economy and can share ideas and best practices while working with industry-leaders to make a positive change in our world.

“We’re thrilled to be a member of Circle Economy,” says Michela Fusco, Head of Sustainability at allnex. “It’s the responsibility of each of us to make a dedicated effort to protect our planet, and at allnex we are committed to contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (UNSDG). We launched our inaugural Primavera Day at ECS this year, and took extra steps by publicly announcing our goals as well in April. We’ve also already begun challenging our sites to push the goals even higher for 2020 – including using our history of Innovation to create new products that support Circular Economy.”
