Shimonoseki, Japan, (October 3, 2019) - allnex, a leading supplier of specialty chemicals, offering a broad range of coating resins, additives and crosslinkers for use on wood, metal, plastic and other surfaces, is proud to announce the outstanding achievement reached by our Shimonoseki team.
A big round of applause goes to our allnex staff for celebrating the 25th anniversary of operations AND the milestone of 9000 days with zero injuries! On July 26th, the allnex Japan team celebrated this achievement with a ceremony and dinner party in Shimonoseki.
"Together, we are family at allnex, and we could not achieve this without your support, your cooperation, and your deep understanding you have had for us." Hiroyuki Tateno, SH Site Mgr. & Allnex Japan Country Manager, expressing his gratitude to attendants. "This is a truly remarkable achievement that not many companies can celebrate."
"Become an organization that has the highest level of Safety Culture,” said SHE & Quality Lead, Yoku Saito, as he introduced the site SHE vision during the ceremony. Shimonoseki site practices high level methodologies which meet not only the ISO 9001/14001/45001 requirements, but also allnex global SHEQ standard. These best practices were sustained by a strong safety culture, and this high level safety standard is also known as the "Shimonoseki Standard". "To achieve 10,000 days without OSHA recordable injury, Shimonoseki needs to establish the Shimonoseki standard and brush up the safety culture" Saito said.
Brett Giles, Global Manufacturing Director XLR, said “A site must be dedicated and focused to make SHE its core value each and every day. To achieve this goal, management must make this a priority and all employees must make this a priority. Although allnex has made this a significant goal in the past 10 years, the Shimonoseki site has been doing this since this site has started operations over 25 years ago.”
Again, a big round of applause for all our staff at the Shimonoseki site!
