“The chance to support a very worth charity was the main aim, and a great cause." Will Gray, Procurement Manager AO

Botany, Australia, (December 3, 2019) - allnex, a leading supplier of specialty chemicals, offers a broad range of coating resins, additives and crosslinkers for use on wood, metal, plastic and other surfaces. We are pleased to report our Botany, Australia site recently participated in the Cerebral Palsy Steptember Challenge.

The 28-day challenge not only supports a great cause, but also helps promote health and wellness among colleagues.

Two employee organized teams, the allnex Roadrunners and allnex Athletic, got moving to complete 10,000 steps per day to raise funds and awareness to the cause. Both teams successfully completed the challenge and raised a combined $1,485.63 AUD for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

Cerebral Palsy encompasses a group of disorders that affects a person’s ability to move. People are affected by CP in different ways; it can affect body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle tone, reflex, posture and balance. The funds raised will go to support people living with cerebral palsy and their families.

The chance to support a very worth charity was the main aim, and a great cause,” said Will Gray, Procurement Manager AO. “Being a part of this also hopefully led to some fitter, happier individuals. Every day of Steptember I got to see sunrise over the Sydney coastal walk– a positively inspiring way to start a day, whilst also helping others who are not so lucky.”

Congratulations to the teams for raising money for such an important cause!
