BASSANO, ITALY, (July 23, 2019) - allnex, the leading supplier of specialty chemicals, offering a broad range of coating resins, additives and crosslinkers for use on wood, metal, plastic and other surfaces, is pleased to announce the creation of a sustainable bag for the site and it’s visitors.

Our colleagues in Bassano, Italy have kept the Primavera Day momentum going this summer, launching their allnex green bag, made by the special hands of Cooperativa Vallorgana collaborators. The bags were unveiled to employees during the site’s recent townhall event. “Primavera Day” was a global celebration of the start of a renewed focus on sustainability for every allnex location around the world.

Cooperativa Vallorgana is an organization that supports disable people by empowering them to develop their skills through creative and manual work. The cooperative considers the needs of the disabled the driving force of its activity and the rooting in the territory a determining factor for affecting the culture of the local society.

Based on the design by the creative allnex team (Elisa Busatta, GL Sourcing Manager Packaging, Martina Meneghetti, HR Manager, Cristina Barbarotto, Q & SHE Management System Coordinator, Alberto Lumachi, Site Manager and Robertino Chinellato, Global Technology Director Powders) the bags were specially handmade by the cooperative using donated extra fabric from clothing companies located near the production site. The cotton pieces are various sizes and colors, resulting in each bag being unique. These recycled and reusable bags touch upon three very important values of allnex – sustainability, diversity and labor. They will come in great use to the site in the future!

These bags are one part of a series of innovations introduced on site that will bring future sustainability benefits. We look forward to sharing more innovations that support our plan of “Painting a Sustainable World” soon.
