Wallingford, Conn. (Dec. 10, 2018) – allnex-Wallingford was recently honored with the Connecticut Economic Resource Center’s (CERC) Celebrate CT award for their contributions to the state’s economic success and for creating a more competitive business environment. Connecticut Economic Resource Center (CERC) is a nonprofit corporation and public‐private partnership that drives economic development in Connecticut by providing research‐based data as well as planning and implementation strategies that foster business formation, recruitment and growth.
“We are proud to have received this prestigious award for our efforts in engaging with our community as well as being a contributor to Connecticut’s growing economy,” Frank DiCristina, allnex-Wallingford Site Manager, said. “I accepted this award on behalf of the entire allnex-Wallingford team.”
The honorees are selected by economic development officials in each of nine regions across Conn. for their contribution to the state’s economy, most notably for consistent or growing employment levels, playing a critical role in changing the character of its community or civic engagement, strong public/private collaboration to encourage new investment, or leadership resulting in growth or improvements.
“These awards acknowledge key people, programs and projects that are stimulating new jobs and investment in our economy,” CERC President & CEO Robert Santy said. “They are well earned and well‐deserved, and CERC is proud to recognize the 2018 honorees and their noteworthy accomplishments that are having a positive impact on Connecticut’s business environment.”
allnex was nominated by Garrett Sheehan, Executive Director of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at CERC’s 9th annual gala on December 5th at Infinity Hall in Hartford.
