Allnex Environmental Speaker Series Continues with Aquaponics Workshop

Wallingford, Conn. (Oct. 27h, 2016) – Frank DiCristina, Site Manager at Allnex in Wallingford, recently announced that Allnex’s Environmental Speaker Series continues with a workshop on aquaponics. FRESH Farm Aquaponics CSO Eric Francis will teach community members how to use aquaponics to grow food. The workshop will be held on Tues., Nov. 15th beginning at 7pm at HUBCAP, located at 128 Center Street, Wallingford. The workshop is free and open to the public. 

“Aquaponics is the combination of hydroponics and aquaculture, allowing individuals to grow food using 90% less water than traditional agriculture,” Francis said. “Community members will learn more about aquaponics and how to become a food producer, fostering greater food security. Attendees will leave the workshop knowing what steps to take to begin growing using aquaponics.”
