On July 10, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a fire broke out at the allnex manufacturing site in East St. Louis, Illinois. The cause is still under investigation.
Two employees were injured and were immediately taken to the hospital for further treatment. One of the employees has been discharged, while the second employee is still in hospital care.
The fire was extinguished by the fire department, and local emergency response teams were on site to maintain safety measures and cooperate with the authorities.
The causes and consequences of the incident will be the subject of further investigation and follow-up.
