The collaboration will focus on the industrial coatings sector, encompassing cooperation across multiple dimensions including raw material innovation, R&D and supply chain synergy. Together, the companies aim to develop industrial coating solutions that offer high performance, low carbon environmental benefits, and excellent coating effects, thereby supporting the green transformation of China's industrial coating systems. With growing "dual carbon" goals and stricter environmental regulations, the industrial manufacturing sector demands coatings with higher energy efficiency, durability, and better appearance. allnex possesses profound technical expertise in resin synthesis and innovative chemistry, with products already supporting Nippon Paint's automotive coatings by enhancing durability and reducing VOC emissions. allnex and Nippon Paint will leverage the CIIE to expand collaboration beyond automotive coatings into coil, engineering machinery, and marine coatings. In automotive coatings, the focus will be on bio-based sagging control resins. This aims to reduce reliance on fossil resources and lower the carbon footprint at the source, while ensuring coating application efficiency and final coating quality.
