allnex today announced the continuation of significant upgrades, investments, and community‑focused improvements at its East St. Louis (ESL) manufacturing facility, marking a major step forward in safety, operational excellence, and long‑term commitment to the region.
 
Over the last three years, the ESL site has undergone extensive modernization as part of a multi‑year transformation plan, reinforcing the company’s dedication to safe operations, environmental stewardship, and being a positive presence in the East St. Louis community. These efforts also reflect our ongoing commitment to our customers and the North American market, with continued investments to expand capacity and strengthen our position in the U.S.
 
Long-Term Commitment Backed by Major Investments
Since 2023, allnex has invested in critical facility upgrades, including:
 
  • Initiation of a large-scale expansion project to support future growth and immediate support to our customers
  • Reactor repurpose and product line expansions to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities
  • Process automation improvements, including advanced monitoring technologies
  • New Centralized Control Room built for real-time oversight, process automation, and safer operations
  • Facility and workplace improvements focused on employee safety, comfort, and well‑being

The ESL site currently holds a full suite of globally recognized certifications:
 
  • ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management
  • ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management
  • ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health & Safety
  • RCMS 14001 – Responsible Care® Management System (2024)
  • ISO 50001 – Energy Management (Q3 2025)
 
In addition, the facility implemented next‑generation safety tools, including real-time in‑process testing in the new control room to further minimize risk and improve product quality.
