allnex Prepped to Showcase Outstanding Composites Offerings at CAMX 2022

Oct 13, 2022 Corporate Trade Show
allnex has once again signed up to be an exhibitor at CAMX 2022. With 23 R&D centers globally, allnex helps manufacturers capture process improvements through UV curing for pultrusion, filament winding, in mold coatings (IMC) and Cure-in-Place-Pipe (CIPP).

In the industry today, composite manufacturers are challenged with the task of improving operational efficiency, identifying savings opportunities and reducing their ecological footprint, all without compromising material performance. The implementation of an ultraviolet (UV) curing manufacturing process can be an effective step towards this goal.

At CAMX 2022 you’ll be able to learn more about our RAYLOK™ C, which allows curing with the power of light. Not only do our customers have increased productivity, but also have energy savings, reduced waste and easier cleaning for this styrene-free product.

We will also be demonstrating our EBECRYL® UV curable materials at CAMX 2022, which can be used to make formulations with  the following benefits:

  • High throughput with low investment and small floor requirements
  • Consistent curing independent from ambient conditions
  • Reduction in energy consumption and ecological footprint
  • One component system with no pot life

We invite you to visit us our allnex experts at booth F64 to find out if our UV curable resins can assist you capturing such process improvements.

In addition, we’re thrilled to report our very own Dr. Jon Shaw will be presenting the latest advances on UV-LED Curable Composites.

Title: UV-LED Curable Glass Fiber Composites and their Properties

Speaker:
Dr. Jon Shaw

Date/Time: Wednesday, October 19, 4:30-4:55pm, 208 AB

Abstract: We will demonstrate some formulation techniques for getting good surface and through cure using UV-LED vs. mercury lamps and compare cure speed, double bond conversion, depth of cure and part temperature vs. time for both cure processes. The properties, such as Tg and flexural modulus, of both the unfilled resin matrix and composite systems cured with UV-LED and mercury lamps will also be presented.

Join the allnex team at booth F64 to discover the world of UV cured composites.

We look forward to seeing you there!
