allnex UV/EB Technology Conference Exceeded All Expectations
ATLANTA, (May 9, 2017) - allnex, a leader in radiation cure technology for industrial, graphics, consumer electronics, plastics and special purpose coatings and inks, is thrilled to report the inaugural launch of the allnex UV/EB Technology Conference was a resounding success.
With both RadTech and the American Coatings Show being in an off year, allnex recognized a need in the UV/EB community to offer a conference for those in the Americas to keep up with the latest info and topics in the UV/EB industry.
Thus, the allnex UV/EB Technology Conference was born.
Held in Charlotte April 26-27, the allnex team (along with co-sponsors BYK, Phoseon, Hampford and ESI) carefully crafted the two day event filled with training, panel sessions and break-out meetings dedicated to providing the most up-to-date information on the industry and the future of UV/EB Technology.
“The allnex UV/EB Technology Conference was a great event” says Jeff Newton, Technical Manager, Sun Chemical. “I in particular found the Innovation Panel session really beneficial, since I could get the thoughts from all 5 suppliers of where the industry was headed. Plus, the ability to spend a good amount of time with all the speakers during the event let us really dive into the details of their presentations.”
The meetings comprised of such topics as a Radcure Basics Seminar (for the newer members in the industry), three panel sessions (Energy Curing Markets, the Move to UV LED Curing and Innovation from five suppliers), and finished up with five different sessions covering various topics of interest (Graphics, Industrial Coatings, Functional Coatings, LED Cure and Composites, Additives & Conformal Coatings) where the attendees were free to move between the sessions to ensure they were able to tailor their conference experience to their individual needs and interests.
"Third-party industry experts joined in for the panel discussions on emerging markets and technological advances. This was critical to us," says Tanya Niu, Business Director Radcure (Americas) in allnex. "As a leader in energy-curing technologies, we see it as our responsibility to bring the UV/EB community together, customers and co-suppliers alike. This is how we can drive identification and concrete actions on new growth avenues for our industry."
Mike Higgins, co-sponsor from Phoseon Technology, “We were thrilled to be a part of the UV/EB Technology Conference. It was great to work alongside allnex and the other co-hosts. Since the UV industry, specifically UV LED, is evolving rapidly we feel it important to continuously educate the energy curable technical community on the latest technology. We look forward to participating again at a future allnex event.”
Benoit De Becker, VP Strategy & Commercial Excellence at allnex also attended the Summit. Benoit’s message positioned the customer summit in the context of allnex engagement as industry leader. He followed with a forward looking message on how the entrepreneurial spirit of the Americas region is contributing to the dynamism of our global markets.
Based on the great feedback from the 100+ customers who attended, allnex plans to make this event part of the standard allnex schedule going forward.
